SMARTronics was founded in 2008 out of the hobby of Kurt Danneel, who was since 1999 graduated and keen on technology, mainly electrics, electronics and software.
SMARTronics was focussing initially on the following 5 key elements:
- Home Electrics
- Sustainable advice (energy consultancy)
- Engineering studies
- Web hosting
- Small application development and macro development for Office programs
Up till 2017 SMARTronics was a side job of Kurt. In the period 1999-2017 he gained also full professional expertise in team and senior management in technology companies.
Together with Kim Bosman, who has her main expertise in supply chain, it was decided to go for SMARTronics bv, combining all existing activities.
